Each student has different reason for practicing. It is important to be comfortable and maintain the connection with the breath during a class and to listen to your inner teacher, regardless of experience level.

The following provides a brief description of classes offered:
Mommy (or Daddy) & Me Yoga: A fun and interactive class that uses games, songs and stories to incorporate breathing and poses. Recommended ages of children: 3-6 years. Registration is required.
Gentle Yoga: A restorative class using passive poses, designed for those who are recovering from illness or surgery; those who may have other limitations or anyone wishing to experience a slower paced class.
Beginner Yoga: A class designed for those who are new to yoga or those with established practices who want to explore the foundation postures.
Weekend Wake-Up: A class focusing on creating strength, stamina and focused energy. This class is suitable for everyone and incorporates modifications of the poses to accommodate the different experience levels.
Yoga Abs and Back: Using asanas focusing on core strength and balance, this class is suitable for all levels of yoga students.
Morning Power Class: A class deigned to increase flexibility, stamina and core strength. This class focuses on alignment and maintaining the connection with the breath during the poses. Although this class is open to all levels of experience it is challenging..
Pre & Post-Natal Yoga: Pre-natal yoga classes focus on preparing mom for the birthing process in a warm and caring environment. Post-natal yoga classes build strength, confidence, calmness and nurturing in the new mom. Registration required.
Mother & Daughter Yoga: Focusing on building esteem and self-confidence in girls from 7-12 years of age, while strengthening the bond between mothers & daughters.
NEW Yoga Conditioning for the Athlete: Focusing on building endurance, strength & flexibility within the athlete, this is a perfect cross training practice. Whether it is hockey, running, soccer, cycling or any other sport, this class will help reduce the likelihood of injuries promote overall balance, mental clarity and increased focus. Weekend warriors and any interested in deepening their practice are also welcome!
COMING IN OCTOBER: YIN YOGA: Yin Yoga is a deeply meditative practice holding postures for an extended period of time to gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues that form our joints. This meditative practice helps open the hips and lower back. |
